Disordered Eating Podcast
Each week we explore the deeper meaning of our relationship with food and our body. I interview experts in the field of eating disorders and psychoanalysis to bring you the answers about why you do the things you do and bring you one step closer to a healthier relationship with food and yourself.
Ozempic, Wegovy, & Mounjaro with Laura Cipullo
There’s a sea of misinformation out there because medications like Ozempic, Wegovy, and Mounjaro have become so popular. But the real question is why? These aren’t necessarily brand-new medications but lately, we’ve seen them “prescribed” right and left and it leaves us wondering if it’s something we should consider.
Weight Loss, Yay or Nay?
We should be exploring questions around the perception that excessive weight is a health problem, the dangers of intentional weight loss, and the conversations that uncover this controversial topic.
But What's Wrong With Wanting to Lose Weight?
I get asked ALL the time why I don’t endorse intentional weight loss and dieting. Here, I answer this question and address why trying to lose weight AND heal your relationship with food won’t work. We’ll discuss what “healthy” means, what to do instead of dieting, and how intuitive eating plays a role. Find more information on disordered eating, eating disorder treatment, and deep work therapy in NYC and Brooklyn on my website.
Weight Inclusive Endocrinology with Dr. Gregory Dodell
This episode is a breath of fresh air. How often do you meet a medical doctor who practices from a weight inclusive perspective? On this episode, Dr. Dodell shares how the endocrine system works (it's really cool!) and why weight loss isn't necessarily the golden answer the world has been looking for. He talks about how you can actually work towards a healthier experience and how harmful dieting can be.
Dr. Gregory Dodell is a board-certified endocrinologist who received his medical degree from Albany Medical College. He completed his internal medicine and endocrinology fellowship at St. Luke's Health Center affiliated with Columbia University. He is now in private practice at Central Park Endocrinology.
